We went to the Botanical Gardens in our neighbourhood, and they have a swimming area (really just some cool sprinklers and fountains) for the little kids. Kenna absolutely LOVED the water! She was completely drenched by the end, but I guess that was kinda' the point:-)

Licorice Thief - Video
Kenna found a package of licorice on the coffee table left by her aunt's after they went out. She wasted no time in helping herself! I put her in her chair to finish and ask her all about it:-)

Helping Hands
This first pic is of the cutie-pie "helping" Daddy pack up for work (he is working near Lynchburg this week), by taking all his things out of his duffel bag. She found two walkie-talkies and that was the end of her usefulness. She loved dragging them around pretending to be Daddy.
And here she is "helping" Mommy get out some 'new baby' things. She wouldn't take a soother when she was a baby, but now is facinated by how chewy they are. She was especially into this alien one that she was given as a baby. It closes if it falls out of the mouth to protect from germs or whatever, but it is just hilarious looking! I think I'd be too embarrassed to actually let my kid use this in public. Could you imagine the stares?

It's snowing!
Well, this might not look like much more than rain to those in the North...but it definitely is snow! More snow than we have had all year in fact. I just had to take a picture, as this must be some kind of record for Virginia Beach! Of course it didn't stick even for a minute, but it was a thrill to wake up to this morning.

Oh Well
Yesterday Kenna had her pictures taken. Here are the only two shots that I liked...unfortunately she was scared of the whole thing and cried most of the time, which is unlike her. Most of the shots were of her all puffy and red, or looking completely in shock. Oh well. The other thing...she fell yesterday morning and cut her lip. Her first time to bleed! Murphy's law says it would have to happen on picture day. Oh well.
As Cute As Strawberry Shortcake
Although it might seem like a really nice thing to share your almost-gone-strawberry-lemon-Sonic-drink with your daughter while driving home, I have learned it's either REALLY nice or maybe really foolish...only two miles from home and somehow she manages to figure out that no more will come through the straw. So she pries the lid off and goes in with her hands to get all the ice and strawberry pieces out, eventually she can't reach close enough to the bottom to satisfy her, so she dumps it on her lap and continues to eat all the pieces. Of course now I am forced to wash the car seat, which has been successful, but now I have to figure out how to get it back together:-/ Here she is sporting her lovely strawberries proudly, while swinging in her brand new swing (while I clean out the car and unassemble the car seat in the driveway). Call this a learned lesson in common sense!!:-)
