Newest Family Member

Brent got a new dog! He is an Australian Cattle Dog, which is called a red heeler if you're in the know about dog 'stuff'. Brent is thinking of naming him Blue. What a cutie!

No Touching! - Videos

This clip had to be cut short for a little lesson in "no touching", up until recently she has been very good about that, but now she likes to test the limits. The joys of toddlerhood!

Recipe - Dulce de Leche

My friend Chani recently told me of a very nifty way to make Dulce de Leche caramel sauce, and it's ready whenever you need it! Tasted awesome, and here's how she did it...

• Take the label off an unopened can of sweetened condensed milk
• Put it in a pot and fill with water until water reaches the top of the can
• Bring to a boil on the stove, and continue to boil for 3 hours
• Watch that the water level remains about the same, add more water if needed
• No need to refrigerate when done, just have it in the cupboard for whenever you need it!
  
  Obviously, since it does take a little time, she suggested doing 4 cans (or so) at the same time. Enjoy!

The Beautiful Ugly Cake

Here's a pic of the cake the kids made to celebrate Kenna's first birthday (in our absence). Janessa and Jillaine made the cake, and they all decorated it, but Lehman told me it was really ugly. All they wanted to do was make sure the icing was on nice and thick, and it looks like they managed that successfully. He said it tasted great!

Feeling Famous

My little brother Lehman turned 9 on Mar 19th. I called him to wish him a happy birthday and we discussed various topics pertaining to birthdays, school, toys, snow and mom's bad driving (she got the truck stuck in the ditch:-) He informed me that mom "looked it up", and he is the tallest Kennedy kid at his age. He says "You know, when I think about that, I feel really famous". Lol, I suppose at my lofty height of 5'2" I will never know what that particular kind of fame is like. Happy Birthday Lehman, WE LOVE YOU!

Kenna is One!

Kenna recently had her first birthday (3/15). Here are a few pics in honour of the messy and memorable cake eating event (her first time to eat cake). Auntie Meg, Ann and Mommy created the lovely cake, and it tasted just fine to Kenna! She had to have a bath when all was said and done.
