After a week or so, we found someone else to take them - they charged us $400, since we were in a bind (would normally have been free, since they make profit off it).
Then we needed to get a second dumpster to handle everything (another $300), and it was delivered just before the guy came to pick up the trees.
I guess he had a full load, and decided to be "helpful" by using his crane to put the remaining trees into the dumpster. (We were not home - at soccer - when he did this:-/). So he put 4 very very large tree sections (10+ft) into the dumpster...this is not allowed. Large trees/logs can not be disposed of like this, and must be cut into much smaller pcs (and even still, cannot go in dumpster).
So we needed to get them OUT of the dumpster, and then cut them up, So we did this on Saturday. Now they are out of there, and cut up...now we just need to figure out what to do with them...it's still a lot of wood:-/
So now at least we can have the dumpster carted off - but still have too many huge logs around here. Bah humbug.
high fives! He loves to race:-) |
Watching the men work, they made a campfire. |
So we've got to figure out where all of these will go:-) If they weren't a thousand pounds each, they'd make great stools! |
They used a truck, rope, chain and manpower, to get the trees out of the dumpster and onto the ground. Can't wait to be rid of all this mess!
