Kick It

Here's Kenna in her soccer uniform. She doesn't play, but I had an extra jersey. She cheers all game long and yells "kick it!" to the kids. She was pretty zonked this morning, I had to wake her up (had to be at the field at 8:30), so here she is vegging, watching "my show" (what she calls any kids tv program or video) while I load up the car.

That Tongue!

Here's the boy, sticking out his tongue like my Grandma Shantz does. He has started doing this consistently the past week or so, when he is concentrating on something or someone. We'll have to see if he keeps it up. It is just hilariously cute to me!

Another hilarious find in the hand-me-down dress up clothes!

Vanity

Getting ready for church tonight, I blow dried her hair (at her request) and pulled the bangs back, she was looking in the mirror saying "ooooo, pretty girl", so I had to get a pic through the mirror:-)

A New Preference

Brooksie's new favourite thing, sleeping on his side. He's been doing it the last few days. I notice it, go in and straighten him out, and he just turns halfway over again in his sleep and settles in on his side. Too cute.

Sweet Kisses - Video

Here she is again being sweet to her brother. She also got a purse in a dress up bag from someone at church. She loves to carry it around and say "ummmmm bye!, ummmm bye!"

Giggles - Video

Kenna wanted to join in the fun...not yet dressed. We were getting ready to go to Lauren's for dinner with Josh, Mel & Sarah.

Ticklish - Video

This is from yesterday afternoon, I was changing his clothes and he was in a laughing mood.

Jumperoo - Video

This is from a few weeks ago - before the haircut. I am just now getting around to getting it off the video camera. If it won't play: www.youtube.com login: darbyjane79 password: keefer123

White Water Rafting

This past weekend Brian went white water rafting on the Gully River in West Virginia. Apparently it is the second best white water experience in the country, first being the Colorado River. This is the second time they have gone. "They" being a bunch of his friends from church. This is the raft Brian was in, and there was another raft with 4 more guys in it, so they had a pretty good group. Click on the pic to enlarge and see their faces...he said it was very scary, but fun. In this one they are literally ramming right into a big rock...fun...

Water Baby

Today we went swimming at the gym pool. It was a really great time, both kids adore the water and are not afraid. Kenna puts her head under and everything, and really I wish she would be a bit more timid, as she has no concept of the dangers and just wants to jump in and whatever, so I really have to watch her. Boo Boo just chills out while floating around, he loves it. We took them to another pool in our hotel in Myrtle Beach, and it was the same experience there. I got the info today for enrolling Kenna in a baby swim class ($25 for 8 weeks!) Anyway, here she is getting ready to go, wearing her grass skirt. I had the thought...doesn't she look like a Fraggle Rock character? So I had to get a pic.

A Mommy Trifecta!

Today we accomplished the 'impossible'...a perfectly timed 3 baby nap! I was watching a friends little girl Natalie today, and they had fun playing together.

A smile

Natalie and Kenna, feeding a baby doll and reading together (while waiting for Nat's mom to arrive, KenKen is ready for bed) Kenna gives her things and says "here you go" and "NatNat", of course Natalie doesn't want or need those things so they are rapidly discarded with Kenna following up behind, giving it right back

Brooks, the wiggle worm, while I was taking the girls picture.

Blanket Time

Here's the girly, playing with Duplo on her blanket time. It's a new thing for her, so she says "help me, help me" because she can't get them attached/unattached the way she wants.

All Boy

Well, he definitely looks like a boy now, even if it is just a little dorky. We will have to see if all the random peoples "what a pretty girl" comments stop.

Baseball Hat

We cut his hair on Sunday, I guess you can't really tell with the hat on, I should take another shot. His sideburns are trimmed up, and also his bangs...which look a little dorky or "Spock-ish", so I think they need a week or so to settle into place. I will take a pic when he wakes up later. I suppose it's ok to have record of his first bad haircut!

Mommy's Helper

Here's my girl, helping me do the dishes this morning.

This is the face I get when I say "smile!"

She's so little, I think it's too cute to watch her, she acts like a pro

Nicole's Wedding

I missed my cousin Nicole's wedding, unfortunately, but I had my Aunt send me some pictures...congrats Dave & Nicole!

Tatum, the flower girl and Nicole

My Grandparents, Allan and Clarene Shantz. Grandpa married Dave and Nicole

Beautiful bridesmaids, and I am sure it was a gorgeous wedding all around...they got married at my Aunt & Uncle's, which is obviously where Nicole grew up, so that was very special.

Wal-Mart

Here is a very random picture from the Wal-Mart parking lot last week that I had on my phone...can't even remember why I took it? I think she asked for one as I was finishing up a conversation while loading up groceries.

Crazy Hat

It's late and I am bored...Brian is talking on the phone to Jared, and my eyes are going buggy from mahjong, so here's a pic from today. It doesn't really have much to do with anything, I just took it to show Kenna how pretty her hat is, trying to entice her to keep it on for any length of time. She has recently enjoyed looking in the mirror and looking at pictures to recognize herself. So here she is in her brand new outfit from Grandma Kennedy, hat and all!

Cute Boy

This kid is too cute! He is so content to hang out and play...

Pop those eyes open just a little more, please:-)

Mission completion!

Shoe Fettish

Kenna has begun the typical toddler phase of loving shoes!

The Fortress

Here's the little man cub, trying to sit up today, for the first time unassisted. He did pretty good with his fortress of pillows to help.

Spooky look eh?

Crash!

Weekend

This weekend was our first game day for soccer. Yes, I coach soccer, don't even ask me how I got roped into that one. I am either really courageous or certifiably crazy. I do believe the latter will show itself eventually...anyway, it's pretty simple as I am doing the 3 & 4 yr olds, so mostly I have to field questions about Thomas the train and juice boxes, soccer is really quite secondary:-) Anyway here are a few random pics from yesterday and today...

The tornado that is Kennedy! Simple playtimes gone awry:-)

Kenna's beloved Pluffie and his new brother, Abernathy. Too cute to resist little twin stuffed animals!

Brooksie, chillin'

Brian waking Kenna from her late nap today. Soccer really wore her out apparently.
