Last year we made candy apples, but the kids didn't like them very much...so this year when I saw a caramel apple kit in walmart for $2, I thought we'd give it a try! Super easy...peel off the caramel, wrap over apple, and bake! As I was requesting apples to wrap, Brooks says, apple in hand, "One vampire. Fresh!" He meant Empire. :-)

They were SO good, we all loved them! Perhaps I will have to try a from scratch version, since they were such a hit.
