Well, I usually do "My Favourite Things" post towards the end of the month. But I've been excited about this for awhile, and I just can't wait until the end of the month to tell you! 'Cause I'm patient like that.
I am ALL ABOUT efficiency and saving time...when it works. Meal planning long range (further out than 2 days) has never really worked out well for me, I've tried various methods and ideas and calendars, but there is always a disconnect somewhere, and it doesn't work, and I give up.
Enter a nifty little (free) site called Say Mmm, I heard about this from my friend, Lauren. What a life saver! Well, maybe not LIFE, but my oh my, it's saving me time, and very easy to use...and so organizational!
I think I'm in love! I've meal planned and effectively shopped (without "missing" a single item for a recipe!!!), for the first time in my life! Check out the site, and read this post for some quick start up tips I wrote. If most your recipes are online (like mine are...or if you use allrecipes etc), you will be able to enter a months worth of recipes quick as a flash! Once you have many/most of your recipes in the program, it will take you mere moments per week to assign meals, print out your list, and go shop! (you can do daily, weekly or monthly planning, whatever suits your style).
Give it a try! Even if you have a "working system" right now, I'm pretty sure this will save you time and be really helpful!
