White Water Rafting

This past weekend Brian went white water rafting on the Gully River in West Virginia. Apparently it is the second best white water experience in the country, first being the Colorado River. This is the second time they have gone. "They" being a bunch of his friends from church. This is the raft Brian was in, and there was another raft with 4 more guys in it, so they had a pretty good group. Click on the pic to enlarge and see their faces...he said it was very scary, but fun. In this one they are literally ramming right into a big rock...fun...

  3. One of the guides from the other boat I believe. There were some other shots, of Sam (back to the pic) who is literally sliding down off the side of the boat, but this is the one Brian got.

  4. oh, a sort of funny thing...one of the guys that went is terrified of water (duh! why go?), he was in the smaller raft, and apparently they had a really easy go of it. They would paddle around all the white water so they were only dealing with the calm stuff. Great for the scared guy, not so great for the 3 others who wanted adventure!
