Beach in October

It finally stopped raining! Soooo...off to the beach we go again!

I guess we weren't sure which direction we were heading:-)

Kennedy family at VA Beach!

Sonny asked Jillaine if my Dad was his real Grandpa. We decided that Sonny's "fake Grandpa" could be called Faux-pa. Haha!!

getting wet...with no swimsuits:-)

wavy, foamy water

Grey got knocked down and rolled around by some big waves:-)

Maryn & Lehman are my youngest siblings

My youngest brother, Lehman (15 years old)

Brooks (6 years old)

Kenna (7 years old)

One of my sisters, Jillaine (17 years old)

Sonny & Grey are best buds (both 3 years old)

Grandpa and Grandma with 3 of their 11 grandkids:-)...the only born-American members of the Canadian Kennedy family!

How cute is that?!

Pics

Since my Dad is here...it's music time! I borrowed a guitar from a friend so we could play and sing together...
It's nice and loud right here:-)
Kenna found a moth with a broken wing, and she tried to nurse it back to health. I'm pretty sure this "helping" actually drove the thing to the grave much much faster than nature would have:-)
My brother Lehman is 15...and a bit of a fave amongst the rowdy boys (Brooks, Grey & Sonny). There is lots of "warring" going on here:-)

This is a funny bit of music. Trying to get Lehman to do the cups for more than a minute

Animal Jungle

Alrighty! We now have internet at Willow house, yay! AND, some of my family is here, and we've been having a good time so far. Posted a few Instagram pics, but mainly I've been too busy having fun to take pics, haha!! Making up for it today...

May's birthday! She's two now! We went out to Animal Jungle, and then for pizza at lunch

A random parrot, Brooks and May

All the kids got to hold the medium sized parrots and cockatiels,, it was pretty cool!

Brooks was nervous to go in at first, but was very brave!

some turtles, and that's a sting ray under them!

Lehman & Maryn, my 15 & 13 year old siblings:-)

Sonny holding a BIG one, like Nigel, in Rio:-)

Fun Times Ahead

Alright, my apologies. I am not abandoning my blog, I promise! I am posting this post...from my phone. Which, while possible, is not really ideal. Plus, blogger is giving me fits, and won't let me update my kids quotes! I've got it written down and will get it on there as soon as I'm able.

BIG NEWS: we are getting internet at Willow on Tues!! Then I will be catching you up with all the posts I have in my head. Living with no internet has been interesting...it's been over 2 weeks since we've been here full time, and its amazing how dependent we are on the internet! Thankfully my phone can handle internet "emergencies". It just takes an eternity to type/Swype it all out!  I've found myself twice now, with my computer in the McDonald's parking lot, using their signal to pay bills and stuff. And trying to explain to the kids why we aren't getting French fries :-)  so getting internet is big news to me.

OTHER BIG NEWS: I'm starting to work from home for elite elder care. I've been doing their payroll for years, but now am more of a real secretary.

AND MORE: My parents and my 3 youngest siblings are coming tomorrow!!! So excited!

So please hang tight, I will be back to posting lots, really soon! I'm all swyped and auto corrected out right now, so I'm signing  off :-)

Snow Coats

It's getting chilly here in the nights now. Chilly meaning 60-65 degrees (15-18C)...so quite comfortable, I would say. Kenna says she is just "one touch too cold" in the mornings.

Well, we have moved lots of stuff in, but I have not gotten out their winter clothes and sweaters yet.

But I do have the coats in the closet...
This is awesome, right?! :-)
Nothing says fall like flip flops and winter jackets, that's for sure:-) We go pick up Sonny & May each morning, just driving a few mins down the road to meet their mom on her way to work - and it's just "one touch" too cold for some people. So we rock the jackets with our shorts:-)

Cuteness

Ok, with guns like these around...we are sooo well protected! :-)

These two are doing so well with school! Only a month in, and they are doing great with their writing, and their number and letter recognition/sounds. They impress me...and they're too cute.
Listening to a story - I read to them from the couch, and they listen...

And they get a little bored...

and they copy each other with their wiggles

It's pretty funny, and totally cute. At least they are learning something;-)
